You get out of Life What you put into It - Massage is no exception

'You get out of life what you put into it' is a term in common usage.

Last year ...photo of me doing sports massage....

I wondered how I could remember the types of massage needed by the different sportspeople. Easy, they get out what the therapist puts in!

So, a sprinter before the race, needs a quick massage done at full speed ahead working my anaerobic muscle tissue on the runner's anaerobic muscle tissue in the legs and at the other extreme, the marathon runner after the marathon gets a slow paced, relaxing yet aerobic massage which does not leave me with and oxygen debt! It was also odd that on NMT work when their muscle relaxed I knew it had without the need to ask as I felt a wave of relaxation pass over me.

This example of massage is on the physical level, I have used my energy and put it into the athlete, the athlete then uses this energy for balancing the requirement of the event (pre or post). Simple!

Now if the same 'energy exchange' at an emotional and psychological level is considered, the word 'Intention' comes to mind. And that's what we therapists often refer to when the means to the end cannot be scientifically identified.. food for more thought here. Hmmm more later....

Say NO to O2 but don't hold your breath

Millions of years ago, the Earth did not have much in the way of oxygen. Microbes lived happily in the methane environment...and I am told (sorry can't recall the reference, probably Horizon BBC) that they were 'eternal'. Only physical misfortunes such as being melted in a volcanic eruption killed them off. Then along came OXYGEN and life became mortal: In medieval times, air was thought to be spirit.....

....you start with your first breath and go out with your last gasp.

In other words OXYGEN is a killer.

You too can be eternal, just don't oxidise yourself. This does of course mean stopping breathing and I feel may be very very difficult to manage for most.

Victor Meldrew lives in the Tarot Tower

If you have ever had the tower come up in a tarot reading, it does not look good does it? How to interperet the Tarot Tower? Just think of Victor Meldrew - if it can go wrong it will, the stuff hits the fan (you did set the scene and put it there in the first place - did you set yourself up to fail?) At the back of your mind you knew your plans weren't water-tight and now you know they weren't!
The good thing is that it happens in a flash, so quickly too - usually within the week of the reading. What is left after this must be very strong.
Mail me if youi're interested in reading or (in)tuition.
Good luck Victor!

My Future Life will be an Egyptian Princess

Here we are then.
My past life didn't last long, I was a slug. Great great great (etc etc etc) uncle Wormold had his picture taken. He said I looked just like him! I came to an untimely end when a big dark shape loomed over me and later, I found my remains splattered over someone's new car. I may have also been a tree but can't remember much about that apart from feeling sharp pains near the soil when later, I found myself in someone's dining room being eaten off of.
I suppose I may pass as human now.
This is totally unfair. I want to be an Eyptian Princess like everyone else.
I reckon that if we have past lives, there must also be ones in the future. Time is only an illusion, so maybe I am all these things now.
More on this in the future....

Expression of the Same Energy

Crystals, colours, moods, shapes, sounds, planetary meanings (as in Astrology), shoes, pets, what you have for dinner, all the different systems of prediction and so on.
What am I talking about...more later....

The Ghost of a Dance

Take a closer look at this classic view of Avebury. The dancing ghost, a rare sight just left of centre.

The Pope says pigs can't fly

How do you read the 'Pope' or 'Heirophant' and sometimes called 'Jupiter' (king of the Gods) as in the Tarot?

Forget the 'ask someone' or 'someone will tell you'. Many years of experience have brought me to this conclusion about the forces that this major card represents:

So if nature says it can, it will and if the laws of the universe say no...then don't even think about it.

I suppose at a stretch, this would mean being told but not necessarily by a human.
Look around at nature does what you want or feel you need possible for you? Then so be it. Or if the pigs have wings? Err...forget it and do something else.

Whatever therapy you do chakras open

Sometime ago I did a minor experiment (although it would have to be repeated under more scientific conditions) to see if chakras opened unintentionally while doing therapy. I did this myself on clients and also in a family and friends complementary therapy class. What we did:
Measured chakras with a dowsing pendulum before an after the therapy.
Therapies included Indian Head massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Aura & crystal healing and Reiki.
Results - all chakras appeared to open.
Method used can be seen in Patrica Davies' book Subtle Aromatherapy.
Conclusion - it does not matter what you do (in therapy terms), the chakras open and allow the bodies natural healing proceses to come to the fore.
Hah hah!

Reiki goes with everything

I always think Reiki is like chips...cos it goes with everything. Some 10 years ago now, I wanted to gain confidence with spiritual healing but was put off by the 'religious' aspects of other groups such as National Federation of Spiritual healers. I did not recognise organised religions, peferring my own mode, feelings and ideas.
On reflection it wouldn't have mattered at all which one I had joined. Healing is healing. The people, I meet have all varied views on things from the absolutely off the planet type to the real down to Earth people. Most of the people I have met have no real views on organised religion but are genuine and ethical 'wanting to help' people.
So, I my opinion, Reiki, Spiritual healing, there is no particular difference. Its results that matter. Picture of me beaming out the energy...
What do you think?

Measuring Intuition

Absolutely amazingly fantastic...Dr Christine Page In her article 'Enhancing the Powers of Intuition' wrote that : 'at least 60% of illness is a wake up call from the soul'. (Ref: Reflexions, The Journal of the Association of Reflexologists, March 2006 Issue 82.
Err... Where on Earth (or elsewhere) does she get this kind of information from?

No need to post blogs! If you prefer, just send your telepathic answers to me... yesterday.
