Elemental Tarot Reading

Keeping it simple, you can even write 'fire', 'water', 'air' and 'earth' on four scraps of paper and pull them out of a hat for this one. Slightly nicer would be using the 4 aces from a standard playing deck.
Fire - Clubs/wands
Water - Hearts/cups
Air - Spades/swords
Earth - Diamonds/discs

I do prefer to use tarot.

Place them in any fashion you choose::
The 1st card picked  is the fire card and tells you " how is my energy level today?" What am I doing today?.
2nd card is the water card that tells you "how are my emotions today?". What is my love life like today.
3rd card is the air card which tells you "what's my mental state today?" What is my main area of thought.
4th card is the earth card indicating your financial state/ material matters. Am I spending or working hard etc.

So if you get the suits in the right order, all is balanced. ... lucky you!

For example, perhaps my cards came out hearts, diamonds, spades and clubs.

Thinking is straight but my energy levels are affected by my emotional state, my emotional state is quite down to earth and my financial state requires me to do something!

If the whole pack of tarot are used to pick your cards, it becomes clearer as to whether you are in a good place or not.

High Priestess - ask the right question at the right time!!

A bit of an insight into the Tarot  High Priestess.
Traditionally, unlike the Tarot Pope, you need to ask her (your inner self or someone else) to obtain a response meanwhile the Pope will tell you for your own good. You don't have to ask him.

Female archetypes are always reactive opposed to active.

But you have to ask the right question at the right time. (If appearing in a reading, it will be timely).

An earthly example from some years ago:

The bank mistakenly put an extra £200 into my account.
I try and try to phone them, speaking to people, leaving messages etc. but I did not get any result from my efforts.
I thought I would wait until they figured out the error.
Many months later (I dared not spend the money!) I received a letter asking me to visit the bank.
So I finally spoke to someone who was aware of the problem hence their letter. She asked why I hadn't done anything before...err I had tried! The matter was finally settled.

Conclusion - the bank had to ask the right question, they were not even able to recognise the problem or respond to my queries early on. Despite me telling them the answer!  So, acting in the manner of the High Priestess, I could only answer it satisfactorily after they had asked - and not before.

You can only ask and get a response when she is listening!

It's still not the end of the world

I will update this later with more detail but..on a PBS TV program the other day, the specialist said the Mayan symbols represented time.

The calandar that's supposed to run out this year is not the only calendar the Mayans had.

Seems to me that there is still plenty of time.

Growing hair - a sore point

A beauty related comment for a change:
There is a TV  advertisement which asks if your underarms are sore after shaving (something ladies do).

It says (and also pictures) after 7 days of using their deodorant, underarms are smooth not sore.

Personal experience and many years of teaching anatomy and physiology, hair would have grown back by then.

Another groan: also on TV ads, women are shown smoothing cream on their legs - massaging in completely in the wrong direction.

Do they ever ask experts and users before creating adverts?

A Major revelation 20 not 22 major tarot cards!

I laid out my major cards in a column of  threes:

Top most were only 2, the Fool and Magician. (In my own CWG pack I have 2 magicians and that made me put 3 at the top for neatness).
Then laid them out in order three at a time the 2nd row starts with the High Priestess. Final 2 at the bottom are Judgement and the World.

It is so special. Do it yourself and look at the penultimate three:

STAR MOON and SUN (luminaries)

Then look at everything else. They all connect all so well.

I also laid out my pip cards in suit order in the tree of life way. One to ten.

Then I thought "why don't they fit into the tree of life format?
There should be 20 not 22 Major cards. Two sets like fire with water and air with earth.

If I am right, what could have been added overtime?
In the first group - the personal set - card number 6, the lovers could go.  All the other cards infer a choice anyway....for better or for worse.
In the second group, card number 15, the Devil. He is always apparent in all the cards anyway.

That leaves 20 making 2 sets of the tree of life. Each one ends in a wheel (of fortune and the world)

I must study the Kabala more! I have heard of darth but not sure how it is spelt. Its possibly a link to another TOL. A rather dark link to the dark side.

Comments please as it feels like I have found the 13th sun sign.

On the left - a 'normal order for the tree of life spread. See that the Pope is card number 6 - the silent watcher.

On the right - I thought judgement would be best at the top - a new lease of life.
Others I have tweaked the standard positions for card numbering to make a bit more sense of it.
What's to say things weren't jiggled around, changed or added to. Happens with everything else in life.
