Heads In The Clouds

I took this strange pic on 12th Feb. The morning mist had cleared but for the intense covering of Westminster...You do a reading on it.

Suggestions are:
Are they all in a fog?
Are the heads (of Government) in the clouds?
Are they shrouded in mystery? (Mist-ery)

You nose best

I am often asked how long do oils last?

Different oils have different life spans – imagine a bowl of fruit – there is the banana that won’t last long through to the coconut, forever perhaps?

Traditionally, citrus fruit oils have the least shelf life owing to their extraction method making them still very sensitive to photosynthesis and the elements, following that are the ‘softer’ floral and leaf oils, our coconut here are tree oils, resins which may even improve with age.
Some oils arrive with a use by date on them. But how do you know the length of time the plant material sat around in the field, distillery, exporters and importer’s barrels until they were bottled? Nor do you know under what storage or transportation mishaps may have occurred. And, more importantly if they have been adulterated in any form.

While a professional is advised to replenish the stock about every six months, the best advice is to follow your nose and know your oils. If they smell or appear different one day – dispose of them.

A New Angle On Things

So much for my posts on circles, this one’s triangles.

They mean the same things though and combined form that yin yang completeness … take a look. Here are the four elements:

This is an idea of how traiangles may have looked in nature to the ancients - and today. Notice the angualr reflection in the water:

Now imagine the sun setting and the convergence of triangles. This is perhaps why we have this symbol:

If you go down to the woods today…

…you too can find the Green Man

It’s a great time of year to see him. Appearing and disappearing with the slightest movement from you. Made of the green stuff – Ivy, he hides amongst the trees.
I did manage to catch a few pics though…

missed him...but

Uh oh he has seen me

...and on the move.

You try!
