Energy equals matter: Tarot and Reiki

It struck me the other day that the suit of fire (Wands) meaning energy is very similar to the suit of material things or earth (Disks).

In Reiki it is expected that you pay for treatment. However you pay, you have put some energy into acquiring the means. So what you give the therapist contains the energy you put in. And you get it back (universal energy) when having a treatment albeit it in a more settling way. These are the elements of fire and earth in action exchanging their qualities.

In the tarot a very similar relationship is found between the suit of air (swords) and emotion (cups). It is so easily confused between what you think and what you feel. One thing directly affects the other....and just look at the Rider Waite 3 of swords!

So how about this all you tarot readers...
Discard these two suits - either cups and disks or wands and swords.
See how you get on with readings using only two of the suits.
