But what can
we see before then?
The Clacton Air show held on 25th and 26th
August this year is one of the benefits of living here. I can see half of it
from my back garden – and hear most of it! But there are many things you can
have a go at spotting before then. Just look up.
Nephelococcygia
This is the technical term for Cloud watching.
I will take this definition further and “read” the clouds. Yes, there are messages in the clouds that’s as well as attempting to forecast the weather .
I spotted this
bikini, maybe more appropriate to the beach, some years ago on the south coast.
Perhaps the message was “you’re on cloud nine”?
She is all show
isn’t she! In the Tarot she could be
the Princess of Swords – that means showing off. Her bikini is off - I wonder
where she can be…probably getting her hair done.
What interesting
cloud shapes can you find? Come on get your cameras out….
Casting my eyes
a bit further down to earth….I took this strange picture on 12th
Feb. 2008
The morning mist had cleared but for
the intense covering of Westminster...
You do a reading on it
My suggestions are:
Are they all in a fog?Are the heads (of Government) in the clouds? Are they shrouded in mystery?
(Mist-ery)
Turning to darker skies, this month there is another big
show:
The
Perseid meteor shower.
It’s
the biggest of the year. Look up after dark around the 12th August
and a night or two before and after. If the moon is too bright, make a note of
the glorious 12th for next year. Let’s hope it is not cloudy!
That’s enough from cloud cuckoo land.
