The Pleiades are go and so much more

Heralding the magnificent Orion, the Pleiades can be seen in the eastern, (just north east) in the evening sky.

But, hey, better still – so I am glad I waited to post this –

Beneath it is the bright star Aldebaran, the eye of the Bull.

And when I saw this a few days ago, there was a third bright object below it. It was the comet Lemmon.

Now, a few days later the comet has moved northerly heading toward the plough. I even saw its tail.

You can see Saturn too

An easy way to spot these:

Face east after around 10pm  - East is where the Sun rises;

Straighten your arms in front to you, palms up;

Widen the distance of your hands and arms to 60 degrees (that is 11 and 1 on a clock face);

Raise your arms as if your face was at the centre of the clock;

Saturn is on your right hand, the Pleiades, on your left.

(all subject to the weather!).

Spirits grow old. Really?

 I was told at the local spiritual circle I go to that spirits can grow up in the afterlife. So I said what - 110 140? It's crazy! 🤣

I suggested that “spirits” may appear in a clairvoyant  manner that can relate to the person for the reading or message.

Certainly makes more sense to me and the medium had to agree.

PS: When I'm dead and gone, I will make my essence felt without all those annoyng wrinkles!

When Enhancement is not Enchantment

 So, on the night of the lunar eclipse on the 7th September 2025 at 7.25pm, I had a phone call: ”Come on, let’s go to the seafront to see the eclipse” (or the blood moon darkened by the penumbra and the thicker atmosphere through the horizon). The eclipse itself occurred below the horizon but we should have been able to see the Moon coming out of it.

Of course there were clouds but we waited about half an hour and saw… well was it a bird? – ha no, a plane? – possibly or the Moon.

Yes there it was, not bloody but white and bright illuminating the surrounding clouds. This was  reminiscent of an awesome painting at my Grandparent’s home.

An exciting moment indeed. So memorable in many ways.

I also predicted that it would rise above my garden shed about 9.20  pm. I was right and with the fading clouds, it shone in all its beauty as it transited across the southeastern horizon. Awesome.

Later, I wanted to transfer the pictures to my computer. My phone suggested an enhancement. I went with it and got a “stock” shot of the Moon. No memories, no excitement nor spontaneity. I was relieved it didn’t delete the original.

This is an example of the now deleted impage - many thanks to NASA.
