Darwin talking Dawkin

Once again a few weeks ago, there was a super programme in Darwin only marred by Richard Dawkins refusal to celebrate the diversity of life and with it; diversity of thought. (memes?)

He completely slammed the creationists in their thinking that life began 6000 years ago yet did not do the same when he said Darwin thought life began 100000 years ago (or something of that magnitude). Life is now thought to have begun some 500 million years ago – so why was the very small amount of 940000 years ignored?

Perhaps Darwin can help Dawkin?
