A turn of two Centuries
I was co-opted into assisting on the MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Tombola stand at the annual pre-Christmas Victorian Market.
Now, how could I se the tombola ticket numbers? And I was
still recovering from my broken foot which concerned me.
But even more of a concern, with only a week’s notice, how
on Earth was I going to find a suitable outfit?
I luckily found an outfit at the back of my wardrobe. It was
something I’d bought at the turn of this century for an event I never went to
and so I never worn it. Err… just about still fitting after some 20 years. With
a slight heel, my ankle boots actually helped my foot and walking ability. All
topped off with a tight bun but especially the antique cameo brooch completed
the effect.
At the event, by the time I was due to take my turn, the tombola
raffle tickets were being removed, so my poor eyesight was not a problem.
So there we have it. A this century outfit befitting the
last century look.
Happy New Year
PS My New Year's resolution is to beable to fit into it for the next Victorian market.
