Flat Earth - A different perspective

Having had a short discussion with someone about the flat earth during which I asked: "is the Moon flat and is an orange also flat?" With no answer forthcoming, I was happy to watch a recent  a BBC Scotland documentary (I player)"Who Are The Flat-Earthers?"  first shown 10th September 2019 in the hope that my questions would be answered.

Not at all like an Horizon special.

I felt the the so called documentary was really an excuse for a bit of travel and fun for the presenter.  However he did interview some flat Earthers in both Scotland and the States.

Apparently some of their logic is based on:

1. If the earth travels so fast in space around the Sun, how do we stay on the ground? Hmm.... let's think a bit.  Oh forget the science, let's get down to real experience:  how do we remain on any travelling vehicle (bike, car, train, plane). Well we do. The Earth is our main vehicle.
Possibly something to do with kinetic energy? Einstein might have mentioned that.

2. Tides only exist on oceans and not small amounts of water.   - I think they do, they could have explained it better. I think even our body fluids, hormones etc react to the cyclical lunar pull.

3. That the Moon is also flat (that answered one of my initial questions). Why? because you can only see one side of it (50%). Hey if he used his eyes once in a while, people can actually see up to 59% of it owing to "Moon wobble", The technical tern is libration.

I would also like to have seen a flat earth map produced - and queried regarding the time taken to travel various distances, what happens at the edges and what lies beneath?  It is not that flat. the ocean deep,  mountains high etc.
Maybe a flat Earther can answer these points. The map I found on their website requires more explanation.

A lady interviewed in the States, described the earth as a doughnut shape. Now we're getting somewhere. Not that I personally think of the earth as that shape but possibly the universe or the "branes".  Physicists please get n touch.

Like I said, the documentary lacked depth with no perspective. It was "flat".
(was that the joke?)

Moving  swiftly on but along the same lines to Richard Dawkins' new book "Outgrowing God: A beginners Guide". I have yet to read it but from interviews, it is his usual rationalisation of the irrational. That is not possible is it?

I thought he had been quiet for a while.  So I don't have to repeat myself, my previous posts are:

Richard Dawkins the selfish-genius
Darwin-talking-Richard Dawkin-once-again

So based on my favoured Darwin's theory of evolution. We are all thankfully so diverse. If we were not meant to be here, nature would not permit it so we would not be here. Welcome all flat Earthers, TV presenters. Creationists, everyone even Richard Dawkins!

We are all souls with an earthly mantle.
