Continuing my charitable works and road testing my Create
Tarot Naturally cards, I attended “Rumble in the Jumble” charity jumble sale Saturday.
They have a lovely meeting room at the village hall offset from the large jumble room
I as well away from the hubbub of the jumblers.
With only one and a half hours to do my thing, speed was
of the essence if I was to read for people and raise some funds for the
Samaritans charity.
This was where the challenge arose.
Have you ever read for a couple?
It’s quite tricky. One or both may be having an affair or
hold some dark secret yet bold enough to assume that tarot isn’t up to the mark
and reveal all. Whilst I don’t mind friends sitting in and listening if they
insist (because I would have informed them that it is better one at a time.
And I always make it known that the readings are for entertainment only).
Also, time was limited. I normally do a Celtic cross followed
by an astrological spread and sometimes another spread is it’s needed. There
was not enough time for this for both, so I did a Celtic cross each and one
astrological spread with “her” the lower 6 cards and “him” in the upper 6.
Incredible. Now they are a real couple, Their Celtic cross
reads were almost identical with 8 out of 10 cards appearing in their “swapped
around” places. It was a mirror image of each other.
And that was despite
a good shuffle.
At least the astrological spread would have different
cards in each position. Although please see my post on this link: Double card trick?
Some money was raised for charity and it was an incredibly
interesting event.
