The Root Cause?

Complementary Therapists are always supposed to look for the 'Root Cause' of the imbalance with the client. Imagine someone keeps getting colds, the immunity is therefore low. Therapists try and treat the 'why' (why is the immunity low) rather than the symptoms (colds). This can be quite often emotionally derived (or the mind pretending to be the centre of emotions - see next post).

This simple example explains what it all means:

As a child, my daughter, very adverse to the brush, had long tangly hair.

Each time the hair needed to be brushed, she would complain that her scalp hurt (and then ran away).

ouch..........

That however was not the root cause but rather the knots near the hair end.

Therefore in this case -

the roots were not the root cause but the knots were the cause!

Got it?
